THIS OUTFIT SUCKS x BAD CONTENT x DO NOT READ

Okay so I really don't like this outfit at all, but I'm posting it anyway to show that I am self critical and able to evaluate myself in a productive way. I think the obsession with posting pictures that you LOVE of yourself is unhealthy, because that doctored image of your reality is so misleading and it makes you feel worse about your life than better most of the time. That's why I think posting images/content in which you don't look or feel or sound your best speaks volumes- it shows that you aren't afraid to show the world that you are (to put in the words of Spongebob Squarepants) UGLY AND PROUD. So without further ado, here is my ugly outfit post + why I don't like it + how I would improve it!!!

As you can tell from my expression in the picture to the right, I am not FEELIN MYSELF (JACK RABBIT!). For one thing, I wore this outfit on a three hour road trip to my college orientation, so my legs felt really stiff and I wanted to melt into the ground. I chose to wear really comfortable and loose clothes for the sake of travel, but I definitely thing people travel in far more stylish clothes and for longer and further distances. I'm wearing boyfriend jeans from F21, some random shirt from Nordstrom Rack, my copper Birkenstocks (which I actually really love, call me basic, and will probably post about more in depth at a later time). This outfit probably could've been better if I like, added more easy accessories. I think a cute neck scarf would've really made it look more polished, especially with the amount of neckline that is exposed with the blouse. Also, neck scarves are like, token road trip accessories. Also, the shirt would've looked better half tucked into a funky belt, which would not only give my tiny body a waist, but also made it more colorful/interesting. I like the contrasting black and white polka dots, but there were definitely more colors that I could've included.
